NOTE: This manual contains separate instructions for the two distinct cabinet types
pictured in Figure 1. If your game has a raised lip at the top, as shown at left in the figure,
refer to the instructions beginning on page 2. If no lip appears at the top of your game, as
shown at right in the figure, refer to the instructions beginning on page 6. All Ion games
feature a raised lip, while FORCE games vary.

Monitor Removal
1.
Turn off and unplug the game.
2.
Place something in front of the game to
brace the bezel once the strain relief cord
is undone in step 3, then unlock and open
the CPU section.
3.
Remove the screw and washer fastening
the strain relief cord, then remove the
remaining 5 screws fastening the LCD
mounting bracket to the game. A ground
wire may also become unsecured in the
process. See Figure 2.
4.
Ion games only: Remove the nut, wire,
mounting nut and center contact button
from the dongle socket assembly
located on the LCD mounting bracket.
Force and Ion games: Carefully
remove the tie wrap(s) securing the
touchscreen controller wires to the
monitor.
5.
Carefully remove the tie wraps around
the VGA monitor cable, then disconnect
the cable from the monitor and remove
the ground wire (a second ground wire
may also be secured in the same
location). See Figure 2.
NOTE: Existing monitors can be identified as either Foreseesons (FSN) or Samsung
models by the manufacturer’s sticker affixed to the back of the monitor.

Disconnect the OSD board cable from
the monitor and if applicable, remove it
from the twist clamps on the hinges.
Then remove the OSD board from the
Velcro attached to either the hinge or the
back of the monitor and set it aside. See
Figure 2.
7.
Disconnect the 2-pin LCD wire
connection from the monitor. See
Figures 2 and 3.
8.
Remove the touchscreen controller
ground wire. It will be located below the
hard drive if the controller is secured to
the hard drive mounting plate. If the
controller is mounted to the LCD
mounting bracket, it will be located on
the reverse side of the monitor. Refer
to Figures 3 and 4.
9.
Remove any wires connected to the
touchscreen controller from wire ties,
clamps and/or the corrugated loom
alongside the bezel edge. See Figure 4.
10. Remove the screw(s) fastening the
touchscreen controller to either the
mounting plate over the hard drive or the
LCD mounting bracket, then set the
controller aside.
NOTE: Compare your existing LCD
mounting bracket to the LCD mounting
bracket sent with the kit. If they are
identical, the supplied bracket is not
required and you may skip to step 12.
11. Remove any foam tape secured to the
LCD mounting bracket. Then, remove
the lock assembly from the LCD
mounting bracket, taking note of the
assembly position and movement.
Ion games only: Remove the 3 plastic
standoffs from the old bracket for use
with the supplied bracket.
12. If you are replacing an existing
Foreseesons monitor: Loosen the 6
screws on the monitor side of the hinges
(3 screws per hinge) in order to raise the
hinges and allow enough room to

remove the monitor. Be careful to keep
the hinge spacers in place beneath the
hinges.
If you are replacing an existing
Samsung or Kortek monitor: Free the
hinges from the CPU section and bezel
of the game by removing all 12 screws
found on the 2 hinges (6 screws per
hinge). Also, remove any foam tape that
may appear on the hinges. The foam
will not be reused.
13. Carefully remove the monitor from the
bezel.
14. Note the orientation of the touchscreen
(i.e., the positioning of the ribbon cable
and which side is the front) and carefully
remove it from the monitor. Use dental
floss to carefully cut the foam tape
holding the touchscreen in place. Once
the touchscreen is completely free from
the monitor, remove any residual foam
tape from the screen with denatured
alcohol.
Monitor Installation
15. Clean the glass on the new monitor with
the supplied alcohol wipe, then cut pieces
of the supplied 1/2" foam tape long
enough to cover each edge of the
monitor without gaps and also without
overlapping. After the tape is in place
on the monitor, peel off the backing.
16. Carefully place the touchscreen over the
monitor in the same manner it was
attached to the old monitor, making sure
the screen is properly and evenly aligned
over the glass. Clean the front of the
touchscreen with the supplied alcohol
wipe once it is in place.
17. Carefully place the new monitor into the
bezel so that the monitor connections
are nearest to the hinges. Make sure
the monitor is properly centered.
NOTE: If your existing LCD mounting
bracket was identical to the supplied LCD
mounting bracket, skip to step 19.
18. Install the lock assembly into the supplied
LCD mounting bracket.
Ion games only: Install the plastic
standoffs into the supplied LCD
mounting bracket.
19. FORCE games only: Use the supplied
screw and kepnut to mount the controller
to the LCD mounting bracket which
contains the lock assembly. Use the
screw hole on the bracket that is closer
to the edge of the bezel for mounting.
See Figure 3.
Ion games only: Install the touchscreen
controller to the standoffs on the LCD
mounting bracket using the 3 screws
removed with the controller in step 10.
20. Fasten the LCD mounting bracket and
touchscreen controller to the bezel with
the 6 existing screws.
21. If you replaced a Foreseesons
monitor: Tighten the 3 screws per hinge
that were loosened during removal of
your old monitor. Make sure the spacers
beneath the hinges are aligned correctly
as you tighten the screws. With the
existing spacers in place, you will not
need the spacers provided in the kit.
If you replaced a Samsung or Kortek
monitor: Place the provided hinge
spacers underneath the existing hinges,
between the monitor side of the hinge
and the front bezel of the game. Secure
the hinges and spacers to the front bezel
using 3 screws per hinge. Use the 6
remaining screws to secure the 2 hinges
– with front bezel attached – to the CPU
section of the game. See Figure 2.
22. Fasten the strain relief cord under the
LCD mounting bracket screw designated
in Figure 3.

Ion games only: Fasten the dongle
socket ground wire to the LCD mounting
bracket screw designated in Figure 2.
Then replace the dongle socket
assembly by replacing the center contact
button, mounting nut, wire and nut over
the LCD mounting bracket.
23. Connect the 2-pin LCD wire connection
to the reverse side of the monitor. See
Figures 2 and 3. If your existing cable is
not compatible with the new monitor, use
the supplied cable.
24. Attach the supplied strip of Velcro to the
back of the new monitor or hinge
(wherever your old OSD board was
mounted) then attach the OSD board to
the Velcro. See Figure 2.
25. Connect the OSD cable to the monitor
and secure it with the twist clamps. See
Figures 2 and 3. If your existing cable is

not compatible with the new monitor, use
the supplied cable.
26. Connect the VGA monitor cable to the
monitor, then secure the cable in place
with adhesive tie-downs and tie wraps.
See Figures 2 and 3. If your existing
cable is not compatible with the new
monitor, use the supplied cable.
27. Use an adhesive tie-down and tie wrap
to secure the touchscreen controller
wires, then secure the touchscreen
controller and VGA monitor cable ground
wires to the reverse side of the monitor
with the supplied screw(s) and washer(s).
See Figures 2 and 3.
28. Close and lock the CPU section.
29. Plug in and turn on the game. Perform a
touchscreen calibration and ensure that
the screen is properly aligned. Make any
adjustments with the OSD board.

Monitor Removal
1.
Turn off and unplug the game.
2.
Place something in front of the game to
brace the bezel once the strain relief cord
is undone in step 3, then unlock and open
the CPU section.
3.
Remove the screw and washer fastening
the strain relief cord, then remove the
remaining 5 screws fastening the LCD
mounting bracket to the game and set
the bracket aside.
NOTE: If your touchscreen controller is
mounted to the LCD bracket, remove the
tie wrap(s) securing the touchscreen
controller wires to the monitor.
4.
Carefully remove the tie wrap(s) around
the VGA monitor cable, then disconnect
the cable from the monitor and remove
the ground wire (a second ground wire
may also be secured in the same
location). See Figure 3.
5.
Disconnect the OSD cable from the
monitor and remove it from the twist
clamps on the hinges. Then remove the
OSD board from the Velcro attached to
either the hinge or the back of the
monitor and set it aside. See Figures 3
and 4.
6.
Disconnect the 2-pin LCD connector
from the monitor. See Figure 3.
7.
Remove the touchscreen controller
ground wire.
NOTE: The ground wire will be located
below the hard drive if the touchscreen
controller is secured to the hard drive
mounting plate. If the touchscreen
controller is mounted to the LCD
mounting bracket, the ground wire will be
located on the reverse side of the monitor.
See Figures 3 and 4.
8.
Remove any wires connected to the
touchscreen controller from wire ties,
clamps and/or the corrugated loom
alongside the bezel edge. See Figure 4.
9.
Remove the screw(s) fastening the
touchscreen controller to either the
mounting plate over the hard drive or the
LCD mounting bracket, then set the
controller aside.
NOTE: Compare your existing LCD
mounting bracket to the LCD mounting
bracket sent with the kit. If they are
identical, the supplied bracket is not
required and you may skip to step 11.
10. Remove the lock assembly from the
LCD mounting bracket, taking note of the
assembly position and movement.
11. If you are replacing an existing
Foreseesons monitor: Loosen the 6
screws on the monitor side of the hinges
(3 screws per hinge) in order to raise the
hinges and allow enough room to
remove the monitor. See Figure 4.
If you are replacing an existing
Samsung or Kortek monitor: Free the
hinges from the CPU section and bezel
of the game by removing all 12 screws
found on the 2 hinges (6 screws per
hinge). Also remove the twist clamps
from the hinges. See Figure 4.
12. Carefully remove the monitor.
13. Note the orientation of the touchscreen
(i.e., the positioning of the ribbon cable
and which side is the front) and carefully
remove it from the monitor. Use dental
floss to cut the foam tape holding the
touchscreen in place. Once the
touchscreen is completely free from the
monitor, remove any residual foam tape

14. Clean the glass on the new monitor with

monitor without overlapping. After the
tape is in place on the monitor, peel off
the backing.
15. Carefully place the touchscreen over the
monitor in the same manner it was
attached to the old monitor, making sure
the screen is properly and evenly aligned
over the glass. Clean the front of the
touchscreen with the supplied alcohol
wipe once it is in place.
16. Carefully place the new monitor into the
bezel so that the monitor connections
are nearest to the hinges. Make sure
the monitor is properly centered.
NOTE: If your existing LCD mounting
bracket was identical to the supplied LCD
mounting bracket, skip to step 18.
17. Install the lock assembly into the supplied
LCD mounting bracket.
18. Use the supplied screw and kepnut to
mount the controller to the LCD mounting
bracket which contains the lock
assembly. Use the screw hole on the
bracket that is closer to the edge of the
bezel for mounting. See Figure 3.
19. Install the LCD mounting bracket and
fasten it to the bezel in 5 of the 6
provided screw locations. The remaining
screw location will be used to fasten the
strain relief cord in step 22.
20. If you replaced a Foreseesons
monitor: Tighten the 3 screws per hinge
that were loosened during removal of
your old monitor.
If you replaced a Samsung or Kortek
monitor: Secure the 2 supplied hinges
to the front bezel of the game using 3
screws per hinge. Next, use the 6
remaining screws to secure the 2 hinges
– with front bezel attached – to the CPU
section of the game. Insert the existing
twist clamps into the outer, unused holes
on the side of the hinge closest to the
monitor.
21. Use the supplied adhesive tie-downs, tie
wraps and/or the wire clamps in the game
to secure the touchscreen controller
wires. See Figure 3.
22. Fasten the strain relief cord to the
remaining screw location on the LCD
mounting bracket. See Figure 3.
23. Connect the 2-pin LCD wire connection
to the monitor. If your existing cable is
not compatible with the new monitor, use
the supplied cable. See Figure 3.
24. Attach the supplied strip of Velcro to the
back of the new monitor or hinge
(wherever your old OSD board was
mounted), then attach the OSD board to
the Velcro. See Figure 2.
25. Connect the OSD cable to the monitor
(see Figure 3) and secure it with the twist
clamps on the hinges. If your existing
cable is not compatible with the new
monitor, use the supplied cable.
26. Connect the VGA monitor cable to the
monitor, then secure the cable in place
with adhesive tie-downs and tie wraps.
See Figure 3. If your existing cable is
not compatible with the new monitor, use
the supplied cable.
27. Use an adhesive tie-down and tie wrap
to secure the touchscreen controller
wires, then secure the touchscreen
controller and VGA monitor cable ground
wires to the reverse side of the monitor
with the supplied screw(s) and washer(s).
See Figure 3.
28. Close and lock the CPU section.
29. Plug in and turn on the game. Perform a
touchscreen calibration and ensure that
the screen is properly aligned. Make any
adjustments with the OSD board.
