Bill Acceptor Removal
NOTE: Your eVo game will have either a small bill acceptor nose or a large bill acceptor nose.
Refer to Figure 1 to determine your style of game, then follow the appropriate instructions.

1. Turn off and unplug the game.
2. Unlock and open the cash tower section.
3. Pull out the bill acceptor magazine.
4. Remove the 6 screws fastening the bill acceptor mounting plate to the CPU section. One screw
also fastens the strain relief cord. Once the screws are removed, separate the CPU section from
the mounting plate and disconnect the 4 harnesses. Place the CPU section down with the
touchscreen side facing up. NOTE: Make sure that you hold onto the screws removed from
the CPU section. Use of other screws for reinstallation could damage the motherboard.

5. Remove the screws securing the bill acceptor nose to the front of the game (4 screws for small-
nosed games; 2 for large-nosed ones). See Figure 3 for small-nosed games, Figure 4 for large-
nosed games. NOTE: To provide more room to access the screw locations, it may be
helpful to remove the joystick assembly from the front of the game. To do so, carefully lay
the game down in order to access the circular anti-skid pad at its base. Remove the
screws securing the joystick assembly beneath the anti-skid circle (2 screws for small-
nosed games; 3 for large-nosed ones) and return the game to its upright position. Save
the screws for reinstallation.

6. Remove the 4 screws on the reverse side of the mounting plate fastening the bill acceptor. (For
small-nosed games, two screws will be found in the area of the absent bill acceptor nose.) See
Figure 5.

7. Remove the 2 wire connectors from the bill acceptor. See Figure 2.
8. Remove the bill acceptor from the mounting plate.
Bill Acceptor Installation
1. Remove the magazine from the new bill acceptor.
2. Reconnect the 2 wire connectors at the top and the bottom of the bill acceptor, with a gap left in
between. The 10-pin connector should be plugged in above the 12-pin connector. See Figure 1.
NOTE: The connectors MUST be installed in the proper slots. Failure to do so will result
in game malfunction.
3. Insert the bill acceptor onto the mounting plate, then fasten the bill acceptor on the reverse side
of the plate with the 4 existing screws. See Figure 5.
4. Return the bill acceptor nose to its proper location and secure it in place with the existing screws
(4 for small-nosed games - see Figure 3; 2 for large-nosed games - see Figure 4).
5. Reconnect the 4 wire harnesses of the CPU section and hold the CPU section in place on the
mounting plate. Use the 6 screws to reattach the plate to the CPU section and fasten the strain
relief cord. See Figure 2. NOTE: Be sure to use the same 6 screws that were originally
removed from the CPU section. Use of alternate screws may damage the motherboard.

6. Replace the bill acceptor magazine.
7. Close and lock the cash tower section.
8. If the joystick assembly was removed, once again lay the game down carefully to access the anti-
skid pad at its base. Secure the joystick in place with the same screws that were previously
removed from beneath the anti-skid circle (2 for small-nosed games, 3 for large-nosed ones).
NOTE: Be sure to use the original screws. Use of alternate screws may damage the joystick.
Return the game to its upright position.
9. Plug in and turn on the game.
